ELKAP was established in 1984 as a family partnership. Activities began with Hard Chrome Plating. In short time also grinding machinery unit was founded. Then grinding activities started to support plating.

In 1992, ELKAP has gained limited company statue. In order to increase plating capacity, the plating area has been improved. Mecanical workshop machinery park has been expanded and machine parts production have been started.

Establishment of the research and control unit has given more competitive characteristic to the ELKAP. And ELKAP has succeeded in being vendor to the leading firms of Turkish industry.

After the 1999's destructive earthquake, ELKAP aimed to get active in more wide area, and initiated Thermal Spray Coatings unit.

In 2000, ELKAP made investments firstly on flame spray and fused hard metal and carbide coatings. Then, plasma spray ceramic, and metal coatings have been added to ELKAP's activities. After that arc spray system were procured and ELKAP has gained another big advantage in coating.

In addition to these improvements, CNC machine investments have been made and machinery parts production has been accelerated.
